Vancouver Bandits Basketball's School Tour Arrives in Maple Ridge & Pitt Meadows!
The Vancouver Bandits announced the return of the Vancouver Bandits School Tour program, which will see Vancouver Bandits’ Head Coach & General Manager Kyle Julius visit high school basketball programs across British Columbia. This initiative, kicked off last week in Abbotsford, is part of the Bandits’ ongoing commitment to fostering youth basketball and building community connections throughout the province.
Coach Julius, a passionate advocate for youth sports development and mentorship, will be working directly with student-athletes and volunteer coaches in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows this week, offering insights into the game while emphasizing key life skills such as teamwork, resilience, and discipline. The tour, which runs from November to February, will make weekly stops in different cities, with Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows being the focus of this week. Coach Julius will visit Maple Ridge Christian Secondary, Maple Ridge Secondary, Thomas Haney Secondary, Westview Secondary, Meadowridge School and Pitt Meadows Secondary during this year’s School Tour.
The School Tour program is proudly supported by community-minded sponsors who believe in the value of sports as a catalyst for positive change, including the co-presenters of the entire program, Preston Chevrolet and University Canada West.
Last year the Vancouver Bandits, through the inaugural School Tour program, visited 68 high school teams across British Columbia.
“With a reach that spans to numerous BC communities, this week the Vancouver Bandits School Tour program brings professional basketball to the heart of high schools in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows, inspiring thousands of young athletes, volunteer coaches and strengthening community ties,” said Dylan Kular, team president of Vancouver Bandits. “As the Bandits continue to build momentum for the upcoming season, Coach Julius and the entire organization are eager to connect with fans, students, volunteer coaches and educators alike in Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows through this impactful initiative.”
