Pitt Meadows Recruiting Residents for City Committees

PITT MEADOWS, B.C. – The City of Pitt Meadows is now accepting applications for its City committees for 2026. City committees play an important role as an advisory body to City Council and staff, sharing community perspectives, and helping shape initiatives that support the needs of Pitt Meadows residents. Applications are open until Sunday, February 22, 2026.

“City committees give residents a meaningful way to get involved and contribute to decisions that impact their community,” says Mayor Nicole MacDonald. “We’re looking for individuals with a range of experiences, backgrounds and interests who are eager to share their perspectives and help guide Council’s work.”

The City is recruiting residents to serve on the following boards and committees for 2026:

  • Advisory Design Panel
  • Agricultural Advisory Committee
  • Community Service Awards Task Force
  • Economic Development Advisory Committee
  • Parks, Recreation and Culture Advisory Committee
  • Pitt Meadows Day Advisory Committee

“Committees support many key areas of City work, from providing input on parks and recreation initiatives and agricultural priorities to supporting economic development and planning community events,” says Chief Administrative Officer Mark Roberts. “The insights and lived experience committee members bring to the table are highly valued by both staff and Council.”

“Our community benefits when individuals take part in shaping its future,” says City Committee Member Travis Hopcott. “Committees provide a direct way for local voices to be heard and considered. When people with different backgrounds and experiences get involved, it better reflects the community as a whole.”

Recruitment for 2026 City committees is open until Sunday, February 22, 2026. Learn more and submit an application at pittmeadows.ca/committees.
