Maple Ridge Fire Department Lifts Total Fire Ban

In keeping with the Provincial declaration, the Maple Ridge Fire Department is issuing notice that the local Fire Ban, enacted on July 7, 2023, has been rescinded effective Wednesday Sept. 27 at 12:00 p.m..
 
A reminder that properties located within the "Area Closed to Burning" as indicated on the map available at www.mapleridge.ca/143, are not allowed any type of wood burning fires, including open pit campfires or outdoor wood burning appliances.
 
Properties located within the ’Open to Burning’ area may have a recreational fire and burn dry garden refuse from Oct. 15 to Nov. 15 with a valid permit. The fire must be located a minimum of 15 metres from structures, property lines and the forest interface. Permit sales will be available online starting next week.
