City of Maple Ridge: Camp Fire Ban Lifted

City of Maple Ridge: Camp Fire Ban Lifted

In keeping with the provincial lifting of the Category One Fire Ban, Maple Ridge Fire and Rescue Services has rescinded the Fire Ban for Category one fires effective noon on Thursday, June 22.

Category one fires (campfires) will once again be permitted in the City of Maple Ridge. This change will be implemented due to cooler conditions and rainfall, which has reduced the fire danger rating in the area.

Category two and three bans remain in effect and the following activities continue to be prohibited:

  1. Sky Lanterns
  2. Fireworks
  3. Binary Exploding Targets
  4. Burn Barrels or Burn Cages of any size or description
  5. Air Curtain Burners
Maple Ridge Fire and Rescue Services will continue to monitor the conditions surrounding the dry weather and forest fire danger levels. If conditions change, prohibitions may once again be enacted.
