Ridge Meadows Chamber and City of Pitt Meadows Connect Employers and Job Seekers at Pathways to Success Hiring Fair
PITT MEADOWS, B.C. (Feb. 24, 2026) — The Ridge Meadows Chamber of Commerce and the City of Pitt Meadows welcomed a strong turnout of employers and job seekers to the Pathways to Success Hiring Fair on February 24 at the Pitt Meadows Library, where opportunity, community, and local economic growth were on full display.
The event brought together 14 employers and hundreds of job seekers, creating a busy and energetic environment throughout the day. Attendees had the chance to meet directly with hiring teams, learn about available roles, ask questions about career pathways, and in many cases, take the next step immediately through on-the-spot interviews.
"As the voice of business in our communities, the Ridge Meadows Chamber of Commerce believes in creating meaningful opportunities that connect employers with talent. Bringing businesses together in one space, where they can access a wide pool of job seekers, while also giving individuals the chance to meet multiple organizations that are actively hiring, is exactly what being that voice is all about," Kristi Maier, CEO of the Ridge Meadows Chamber of Commerce.
Feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive. Employers shared that they connected with many strong candidates across a wide range of roles and industries, noting both the quality of applicants and the value of meeting local talent face-to-face.
For job seekers, the fair offered more than just job postings—it provided personal interaction, real-time guidance, and the chance to make a meaningful impression. For employers, it created a streamlined and community-based way to recruit, while building visibility and relationships in the local market.
Events like the Pathways to Success Hiring Fair play an important role in strengthening the local economy. When local employers are connected with local job seekers, businesses can fill positions more efficiently, residents gain access to employment opportunities close to home, and more income is retained and recirculated within the community. This helps support local spending, business stability, and long-term economic resilience across Pitt Meadows and the broader Ridge Meadows region.
“The hiring fair demonstrates the real impact of connecting local employers with local talent,” says Mayor Nicole MacDonald. “By creating opportunities for businesses and residents to engage directly, we are strengthening our local economy and supporting continued growth across our community. On behalf of Council, I want to thank the City and the Chamber for their strong partnership in making this event possible,” Pitt Meadows Mayor Mayor Nicole MacDonald.
The Ridge Meadows Chamber of Commerce and the City of Pitt Meadows continue to emphasize the importance of practical, community-focused initiatives that support workforce development and economic vitality. By creating spaces where businesses and residents can connect directly, both organizations are helping build a stronger local economy—one opportunity at a time.
The success of this year’s event highlights a shared commitment from the Chamber and the City to deliver programs that respond to real community needs and create measurable impact for employers, job seekers, and the region as a whole.
