The president of the Ridge Meadows Chamber of Commerce is opening the doors of his business to the public so that they can learn more about what it means to be part of the chamber.

The open house event will be hosted at Unlimited Driving Academy in Pitt Meadows, with the chamber team and board of directors, including president Jerry Kok, in attendance.

Chamber CEO Kristi Maier explained that this is a great opportunity for people to discover things about the chamber that they never knew before.

"It's a casual space for both members and non-members to get together," said Maier. "Non-members can learn more about the chamber and the benefits that come with being a member."

She also said that there's another major reason why non-members may want to attend the event.

"Anyone who joins at the open house will receive $50 off their membership," said Maier.

The open house is free to attend and takes place at Unlimited Driving Academy (19150 Lougheed Hwy., Unit 110A) from 1 to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 9.
