What is a Certificate of Origin?
To put it simply, a Certificate of Origin, or COO, is an export document outlining and stating the goods in a shipment have been obtained, procured, manufactured or processed in a particular country. Countries all around the world require a COO to be signed and sealed by a Chamber of Commerce before any shipments can be delivered/sent to that country.
The Ridge Meadows Chamber offers to provide Chamber members and businesses within Pitt Meadows and Maple Ridge these Certificates of Origin. We are able to seal and certify these documents, attesting that the information contained in the documents are correct to the best of our knowledge.
Getting a COO:
Before the RMCC can process a COO, the business must have a Certificate of Origin account set up with us . Please contact us at info@ridgemeadowschamber.com to start the process as there are several documents to be provided.
Availability:
We are able to process COO's during our regular business hours. Please request an appointment to ensure staff are available to process the Certificate of Origin. Appointments can be made at info@ridgemeadowschamber.com or 604-457-4599.
Cost:
Members are offered a discounted cost of $25.00+ GST
Non-Members can have these produced at a rate of $50.00+ GST
This cost is per document and we can provide two originals per document.
