On Tuesday, Ridge Meadows Chamber of Commerce CEO Kristi Maier and Chamber President Jerry Kok had the privilege of addressing the City of Pitt Meadows Council Meeting to share the Chamber’s remarkable progress and ongoing commitment to the local business community.

Reflecting on Growth & Achievements

Kristi Maier opened the presentation by expressing gratitude to Mayor & Council, with a special acknowledgment to Councillor Gwen O’Connell for her unwavering support and guidance as the Chamber’s liaison. She also thanked City staff for their collaboration on the fee-for-service agreement, which has strengthened the Chamber’s ability to serve local businesses.

In her address, Kristi highlighted several key milestones the Chamber has achieved over the past two years:

• The launch of the Chamber Champions program, securing four pillar partners who actively support and promote the Chamber’s mission.

• A bold rebrand, introducing a fresh and modern identity that reflects the Chamber’s growth and commitment to innovation.

• Expansion of networking events, with Business After Hours growing from a small gathering of 20 attendees to nearly 80 professionals at upcoming events.

• Record-breaking Business Excellence Awards, consistently raising the bar to provide an unforgettable celebration of local businesses.

• The return of the Chamber’s Golf Tournament after more than 14 years, as well as the continued success of the Celebrating Women in Business series.

Strengthening the Business Community

Kristi emphasized that these accomplishments are only possible because of the dedicated and passionate business community that the Chamber proudly represents. With continued growth in membership and engagement, the Chamber remains focused on fostering meaningful connections, advocating for business-friendly policies, and creating opportunities for local businesses to thrive.

She also reiterated her personal connection to the community, expressing how grateful she is to lead an organization that plays such a vital role in supporting businesses in Pitt Meadows and Maple Ridge.
