About Us

At Mood Therapy & Mental Health, we offer compassionate, evidence-based counselling designed to help women navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity and confidence. Our practice provides individual counselling both online and in person; evidence-based methods including EMDR therapy, DBT, IFS therapy and others are used while supporting clients through experiences of anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, life transitions, and trauma.

Founded by Maddie Skidmore, RSW, a Registered Social Worker with extensive experience in women’s mental health, Mood Therapy takes a relational and trauma-informed approach to therapy. Maddie specializes in working with women throughout the perinatal period — including those facing pregnancy loss and grief, fertility/reproductive challenges, or postpartum mental health concerns — offering a space that feels validating, grounded, and deeply supportive.

We believe therapy should feel like a conversation with someone who truly understands. Whether you’re seeking healing, growth, or simply a place to pause and reconnect with yourself, Mood Therapy provides the tools and care to help you move forward.
